Asphalt Cut And Removal

Base Correction and Recompacting

Hot Asphalt Application
The hot asphalt sourced from the asphalt plant is removed from our state-of-the-art Marathon Hot Box and placed into the area in need of repair. The hot asphalt is rough raked, luked and compacted. Usually, the asphalt is applied in two layers, each compacted roughly 2 inches. Once the final layer of asphalt has been compacted The asphalt is left to cure.
Hot Rubber Bead
To ensure the gap between the newly paved asphalt and the existing pavement is sealed, we apply a hot rubber bead to the entire perimeter. This prevents any water from penetrating the asphalt repair work ensuring that the repair lasts a long time.
